These scales On My Violin
So I'll play my violin
A scale, G scale, D and E
Begins caving.
Up and down the staff
I'll go
As the oceans flood and flow
As the world is burning, burning
I will play what I'd been learning.
As I watch the cities fall.
I will play a haunting waltz.
And teach to those who listen
What we could've saved.
But I play too late, too late.
As I play too late. Too late.
These scales on my violin.
