temperature (3/10/20)
your golden-brown skin is warm and inviting.
on the outside i stay cool and collected --
freezing my feelings so i'll never crack.
but on the inside,
you melt my heart down to its very core.
i wish i knew how to tell you.
but i know you'll see soon,
because this burning heat inside of me
is quickly melting my icy exoskeleton
and there's nothing i can do to stop it.
