The Tears That Kill

I cannot let me feel

To feel is to hurt

Hope turns black with each shedding tears

What once felt excitement is only filled with dread

I cannot escape this prison

I made for myself

A key I made of love I will not let in

I will suffocate in this cage

Drowned by the tears that fill these walls

Its space consumed each passing night

Sweet bitter liquid

A black sea ready to consume

As my lungs fill with the sorrow

A plea for breath I'll take in final

Gone with it the last

Air to give me voice

Voice to hear my plea
