The Tale of Regrets

Joy and laughter,

You became my best friend,

Together from the begining,

We would stick to the end.

To not cherish your infinite kindness,

That was mistake one,

You gave and you gave,

But I was like a parasite, hun.

You deserved more love than me,

Because you were in store for more,

The hardships of life,

Slowly arrived with an impact as of a world war.

Changes in life,

More drastic than mine,

Would later indeed,

Drastically dull your shine.

But here we are,

Repairing your shattered soul,

We could have avoided all this at an early stage,

Maybe you would have turned out....whole.
