As strong as breath
it breathes life into me.
Each Syllable makes
my mind tick and heart sing.

Eyes glisten with its melodic
majestic grace 
as hearts swoon by its calling,
All too familiar of a face.

For it's the rhyming and rhythm
that give us the blues
it breathes life into us
Why? Nobody has a clue. 

But one thing is certain
and it's all time has left.
Poetry is life
As it is as strong as breath.
