Something In Me

Tired of sitting in the dark, a silent chord, a forgotten voice lost in the abyss of my world.
I want to create and never fade away.
I want to see a light in my chest, purpose in my step and a grin on my face.
Suddenly it seems so simple. Suddenly it’s all I want. Suddenly my fear subsides.
Gasping for air to speak the words I don’t dare speak.
Suffocating myself in insecurities, refusing to be seen, to be heard.
to speak my words without fear, to sing out until my voice burns.
Hiding from potential is easy when potential is hiding from me, waiting to be found.
Inside me, waiting to be freed.
