Silver Spoon

Single mother

Trying her best
Raising three kids

Going to college
Life was stressful
Hectic
Never had anything handed to me
Wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth
But was born with a plastic one
And was taught that if I wanted that silver spoon
Then it was my responsibility to get it

Myself
So I do
I live my life trying to make money
Get scholarships
Join clubs
Get good grades

So I can replace that plastic spoon with a silver one

I've seen people struggle
People regret not getting a good education
Regret not having a good job
Struggling and hustling
So I work hard now
So I don't have to later in life
Seeing my family struggle has made me a
Dedicated
Determined
Go getter
That's me
I am Lauren
And will always be reaching
Striving

Hoping
And wishing
For that silver spoon
