Seeking You in Shadows

Tue, 06/17/2014 - 21:06 -- Severia

I reach into the shadows and my hand touches your face,

Every single line of yours my fingers pretend to trace,

I wonder - could this torture last forever?

My love, I'm seeking you in shadows,

Searching for long lost goodbyes.

I'm begging the sun to sink so dreams of you may fly.

But when I wake unto the utter nothingness I'm trapped in,

I'm left to ponder absent answers to all the why's.

You left me with fleeting memories,

Locked up tight in my heart, they feel so foreign like age-old stories.

My love, I'm seeking you in shadows,

Searching for things I'll never find.

I'm begging the rain to wash you from all parts of me.
