Secrets Kept Secret

I could tell you a secret,

But it's locked inside.

I could dig in and reach it,

If I dismantled my pride.

I really want to tell you,

But you're in a different state of mind.

I might've tried to tell you,

Yet, still it's something I've got to hide.

You wouldn't like it.

You wouldn't approve.

And reflecting everything,

Far away you'd move.

If I told you,

No comfort would be there.

Misunderstanding,

With a cold distant glare.

So, I won't tell you,

Even if you plead.

Secretly you don't care,

About my secret, or me.
