Relevancy

Have you ever stood on the edge of a cliff?

Have you ever looked over a precipice?

Did you feel strong and tall?

Or did you feel small and weak?

Have you ever stared into the night sky?

Have you ever tried to count the stars?

Did you feel far away and insignificant?

Or did you feel like the most relevant being on earth?

Have you ever had an empty heart?

Have you ever been so full you could burst?

Do you know who you are and what you're worth

Any more than you know about the man accross the world?

Have you ever been broken?

I have.

There is a time when it feels as though your heart has been ripped out of your chest

When all the distance to the ground

All the numbers of the stars

When those things seem to matter so much

And at the same time don't seem to matter at all

Though we are so small

So insignificant

We are so strong

And so relavent

We are so broken

But what can be put together that has not  been in pieces first

It is when we acknowledge our failures

Only then, that we truely succede

When we admit that we are not the focus

And that a little boy down the street

Or the woman on the bus

Have dreams and ambitions

As important as our own

It is when we dedicate our lives to the lives of others

It is when we die to ourselves

That we live
