Passive

The youngest of six

The quiet child

The perfect daughter

The one who does everything right

She sits back in silence as she watches the fights

Hears the arguments

Listens to the cries

She never speaks up

She takes the criticism from her peers

She apologizes when she's done nothing wrong

She lets them walk all over her

She never speaks up

She does what she's told

She listens

She obeys

She never speaks up

She is tired of being inactive

She is tired of pleasing the majority

She is done with being unhappy

But, even so, she never speaks up
