Open Your Eyes

Open your eyes

Can’t you see

This world’s lies

Are not the reality

This world is broken

It hurts us all

When we look at the fallen

And hear a freedoms call

Freedom does not mean free

Freedom does not last

All we really do is flee

When we hear the blast

People being crushed

People crying out

We leave them lost

And ignore their shout

We live our lives

To what’s best for us

And don’t see the sacrifice

That others give for us

Open your eyes

To the reality

Someone pays the price

For your fantasy

This world’s thoughts

Are of self-destruction

If we don’t change the course

It’ll speed up production

Don’t go with the stream

It’s not good for you

But point your beam

Where it should go to

Don’t just think and say

But go out and do

You weren’t made to be lame

But make the world new

Jesus always loves

And he will never stop

No matter what comes

Why should you give up

So open your eyes

That you see

This world’s lies

Can never be the reality
