Only Human : Sonnet #8

Only Human : Sonnet #8

cardiac-arrhythmiasfig10_large.jpg

His eyes intoxicate my heart strung corpse

Inebriate each bone; feed my ticker

Oh, tickled fancy ne’er run dry, explode!

Asphyxiate me ‘fore I’ve gone sober!

Thy spellbound mitt garrote stymie gullet

Our hearts will beat as one beating unit

Thou art my pacemaker, shield thy bullet

It’s hard to believe you’re only human

Open the gates of dopamine rivers

And let thyself be free, as you’ve freed me

Granted wings far above worldly shiver

Methamphetamines a bounty for thee

As the venom radiates off thy head

Drunken eyes grow weighty, drifting to bed
