Once Upon a Time

Thump thump said the summer rain

Once upon a time I was glad you came

Your touch reminds me of the wind

Of the moss and the trees

Through a long dark tunnel I see you

Once upon a time I needed you

Hurt me once but not again

Look at me

You are still my friend

Your thunder makes me an echo

That ties me to the past with a rope

Leaves swirl in the sight of a child

Then bloody screams, after awhile

Even though the worst took place in You,

The best did too.
