No Longer A Child

the night sky pours over us

like a cup of coffee

no cream

we lay on the grass

without a care in the world

in this moment

all we have is each other

and i've never been so fulfilled

laughter fills the air

pure bliss gleams from our eyes

its in this moment i realize

i am no longer a kid

and i couldn't be more glad
