New Generation

We didn't start the fire,

That's what they say.

And each generation,

Must suffer and pay.

Don't ruin the country,

I love or behold!

Ruin, decay, destruction...

All for the sake of power and gold.

This is the land of good, truth, and trust.

Right is right, and wrong is wrong,

Don't mock me for singing,

Liberty's song.

I stand for the old,

Brought into the new,

Don't say you're progressive,

Sodom said that too.

We were designed,

To be higher and great.

Don't take that away;

Make this a unified state.

The Founders had it right,

When they wrote "liberty",

You say "right to do whatever!"

I say "freedom and equality".

So maybe those of my age,

Would probably not agree.

That's okay, this is my generation too.

And this is just the beginning.

My fight will go on.

And my banner won't be carried alone.

Stand and join

The patriot's song.

This poem is about:
My country
