My Senior Year, I Love It!

Mild mornings, warm days and cool nights.

Swimming, amusement parks and sweet summer fruits.

Beaches, July 4th, family reunions.

It’s over.

I loved it.

Crisp mornings, mild days and chilly nights

Orange, yellow, brown.

High school senior year. Yes!

I love it.

Friends, parties, football games.

Graduation, prom, senior stuff.

I couldn’t be happier.

I love it.

College applications, scholarship searches.

SAT and ACT, transcripts.

I don’t love it so much.

Preparing to say goodbye.

A year-long celebration.

It’s bittersweet.

Art drawings, video games, technology.

It’s what makes me me.

It’s who I am.

It’s what I will continue to pursue.

Because I love it.

Science and technology program.

Challenges, challenges, challenges.

Tough courses. Tough teachers.

I survived…with honors.

I pat myself on the back.

I love it.

My parents, my brother, family, friends, classmates.

It took a village to raise me.

It took a village to inspire me.

It took a village to make me me.

I love them all.

A new chapter in my life.

College, freedom, no school lunches.

No uniform. Whew!

I can’t wait.

I know I’m going to love it.
