Living For Her

A loss of life so young,

The words caught on my tounge.

A loss of a best friend,

Made me feel like it was the end.

She was only sixteen,

It still feels like a dream.

Memories of more than six years,

That now come to me in tears.

Songs on the radio we loved,

Tells me she's watching above.

Grieving from her suicide,

Still it tears me up inside.

There are so many like her,

Living their lives in a blur.

Others stuggle the same,

There needs to be a change.

I will make a difference,

The process will be rigorous.

Helping others who are struggling,

Though mental illness is puzzling.

I take on this battle,

The ground I will rattle.

It must be done for her,

And the friends that we once were.
