Little White Lines

How are you?

Im fine.

Are you sure?

Im fine.

You look sad though...

Im fine.

So no cravings?

Im fine.

Okay…

Well maybe Im more numb, than fine.

Maybe Im more content, than fine.

There was a time when lines were just things I waited in at disneyland

Now the only time I'm at the happiest place on Earth is when I see little white lines.

Whether that be the scratch marks I leave on your back,

The lines that we racked,

Or the white shimmer of fresh scars on my wrist.

So ask me again, how are you?

And all I can say is Im fine.

This poem is about:
Me
