Old kids as an society will eventually take about 30 prescriptions pills, but as humans we suffer from greed. Our greed complains for more life, but to have had life is enough. Our greed stems from fear, the fear of being casket sharp and gray. Aging is life consumed, but 30 prescriptions is a perversion of life’s consumptive properties. Unlike the numbing medicine, living in the now is invaluable. A greater amount of function and the desire to do will exhaust its purpose but death will not exhaust the purpose of the life lived. This idea is difficult to understand because no one lives to record the experience. Old kids cannot fathom death just as all kids lack the memory of birth. Life’s price is relinquishing the knowledge of when death will come upon us. Old kids are free to decide, what death they will die (peaceful or morose), but not when, why or how they will die. Without this knowledge we all feel abandoned. Consequently, older kids complain because they find their life inadequate. We will complain indiscriminately because we do not understand the duality of our existence. Old kids are consumed because we also exist in a form consumable. In this form, old kids should not die of unrequited love for life and falter to fear. We should take comfort in our existence both understood and not. To exist in another form unfathomed is ok, because what all kids fathom in this body is consumable as well. Now we know life is enough and death does not exhaust our purpose or existence.
