Location

Sideways glances
Smirks
Snickers behind binders

But they don’t know
They don’t know what she’s been through
They wouldn’t do this if they knew

Profanities yelled at her by parents
Punishing herself
Placid only on the outside

Middle fingers raised
Mocking
Making fun of him

But they don’t know,
They don’t know what he’s been through.
They wouldn’t do this if they knew

Bad home life
Backhanded by his father
Bullied more at school

Sadness overwhelming
Suicidal thoughts
Successful

We had no idea
If only we would have known
We would have stopped

Found the notes
Feeling guilty
Forever ashamed
