Dorothy, This Isn't Kansas Anymore

Location

Dorothy, This Isn't Kansas Anymore

There is a long, winding, yellow brick road that leads to somewhere,

"But this isn't Kansas anymore."

There are people with no brains, no hearts, and no bravery,

"But this isn't Kansas anymore."

There are people who are evil and corrupt,

"But this isn't Kansas anymore."

There are people who know nothing, but good,

"But this isn't Kansas anymore."

This is a world full of greedy, hypocritical people

Who are too stubborn to understand,

That this isn't a fairytale or,

Their own twisted reality.

This is the real Wizard of Oz,

And you are Dorothy,

Lost and confused;

A pawn in someone's decieving chess game.

You are Dorothy,

Wandering in a land that's unfamiliar and uncharted,

Trying to get home with no such luck.

Thinking you've finally got home in your grasp and,

You're so close. You can feel it,

But the greater powers push it farther back,

Leaving you lost and confused again.

You are Dorothy,

"But this isn't Kansas anymore."

You are Dorothy,

Kansas, just inches from you reach and then

Magically disappearing into thin air.

You are Dorothy,

And you're in the real world now.

Dorothy,

There's no turning back once they've made their move.
