Defined By Mistakes

2210 N. 22nd st.
United States

I was an accident.

Simple as that.

The day I came knocking on my mother's womb door,

everything changed from

party college life to

I was rasised by hard workers.

Nams mom and dad.

Who did what they could to give me

not what I wanted,

but what I needed.

I didn't have the nicest clothes,

didn't have those popping trendy gadgets.

What I did have,

was a neverending

I fought hard to be where I am

endured what others may think

only happened in movies.

Death and family is what kept me

I suffered the pain,

of not losing one,

or two,

but three

loved role models who wanted so badly to see

me walk across that stage

with a diploma in hand.

It wasn't easy being me,

but I had me who believed,

that college was the only way

to fix the mess my accident made.

Maybe one day

I will learn to fly

Maybe one day

I can change the world

but the only way I could ever

make these dreams a reality,

is to do what I can

to not repeat my past.

I am defined by

But I am also

defined by
