Dear Mother of Mine,

Inspiration is found in a mother of two

Who finds herself with bills that are overdue

Voices in her head wishing that he chose to stay

But all she can do is pray that things will be okay

She fights the urge to go back to sleep

And finds the strength to stand on her own two feet

We have things to do today

There is no room to be in dismay

Full time mom

And a full time job

School at night

Making sure the kids do not fight

For her daughters

She grew stronger

And I aspire to be as strong as my mother

Because life tends to throw punches one after the other

Even with all this pain

Her love for us did not drain

Mother I promise to find a way

To make sure we will all be okay.
