Coldest Winters- Me, Without You...

Location

East Wenatchee
United States

You held me through the coldest of winters.
We watched the colors of fall fade,
And the world was washed away.
Together we stayed warm and safe,
Never afraid and never alone.
But when spring came,
You refused to hold me.
No color could save me.
My spring slipped into winter.
My body cold and lifeless.
I sat outside and watched
As the color slipped into nothingness.
As everything went white,
I forgot everything in the world.
Except I couldn't help but to remember you,
And the ways we once were.
It was the coldest of all winters.
