Closure

We all claim to need closure.

And yes, it is quite a wonderful thing to have.

To know the exact science of, why, how, who, and when.

But sometimes that doesn't happen.

You can spend your days beating yourself up,

asking why, what did you do, what did they do?

Or, you can say that it doesn't matter.

If they didn't tell you what was wrong, then they didn't want you to change.

It's a lesson that feels like a knife to the heart,

but it's one that will heal you in the long run.

All a heartbreak is is an exercise with extra steps.

You will emerge stronger and more able.

There are things in this world that don't make sense.

But by the back cover, a book has ended,

no matter how unsatisfying the ending was.

Pick up another one and start reading.
