Kids come in like snow on a winter’s day

All their smiles just light up my day

They come inside to run and play

All these choices make it difficult these days

To make the right decision or walk away

Sugary sweets are everywhere

Their eyes get wide like the sun on a hot day

Finally they make the choice

“What would you like today?” I say?

They say, “I want everything as long as it’s mine.”

I scream, I panic like as if there was a hurricane

Have you gone crazy?

There are better things these days

Maybe once in a while it’s okay

But not everyday

Why would you spend it all in one place?

They stare and don’t care

Then I freak and yell, “Kids Today!”
