The Boston Massacre 26.2

Sun, 04/21/2013 - 19:25 -- Kylle18

I try to make sense of what has been done
Taking down the best of us.
Those who try to prove each day that we can overcome the obesity epidemic
We can create a fit America
Not just those who sit in a cubicle, but those who make a difference and those who cared enough to watch
Families cut down limb by limb life to soul

An American staple forever tainted
An event worn on car bumper stickers for a life time
A number famous and universal no matter the language worldwide recognition turned black with soot and dust
The Boston massacre
Massacre: the act or an instance of killing a number of usually helpless or unresisting human beings under circumstances of atrocity or cruelty

People from nations come together for one event, thousands of people. All trying for the same goal and different goals
Some fast some finish but all affected by the 26.2
A lifestyle, a positive message, a life changer
Game changer
It hardly seems fair that these who show perseverance and those who support it are those who are wounded in battle
Wounded in their prime.

I commend the ones who continued running, those who deserve the right to say 27.2 and more, those who ran straight into hospitals cause they were the lucky ones

And those who got up to finish after being thrown to the ground, just to honor the 26.2 and those who were taken down

The young support watching their father only to watch their life end instead, while their family was torn to bits both figuratively and literally
Son, daughter, mother father, aunt, uncle, friend, grandparent

It could be your coach, your teacher, your neighbor

But now they aren’t here no more, because life isn’t fair. Life creates cruel and wonderful mysteries, this the latter
We don’t know
We may never know
But we must not forget we must honor
And we must know
The Boston massacre 26.2
