Bitter

Don’t mind me. I’m just passing through.

I’m neither here nor there

And I won’t be stopping.

Don’t mind me.

Excuse me, pardon me

I’m only passing through.

I gave up long, long ago

on trying to make people notice.

But it doesn’t matter. Don’t mind me.

I’m just passing through.

If, though, you want to wait

Speak with me, exchange for a moment

I’ll tell you a secret.

I wasn’t always so silent

invisible

For long, long ago, it wasn’t “don’t mind me”

It wasn’t “just passing through”

But it is now. Don’t stop

Don’t even pause. I won’t bother you again.

Don’t mind me. I’m just passing through.
