Big Brother

You were my big brother though we weren't blood,

Through everything you always came through,

Now that you are gone my tears begin to flood

Wished I could've said goodbye, who would've knew?

I'll miss your talks and your contagious smiles,

All the times you've comforted me I'll never forget,

You always offered a shoulder and went the extra mile,

I'll never get to hear my brothers voice again,

Or get the chance to see his smiling face,

Too many thoughts, but only a fraction made by this pen,

I wish for one more warm hug to embrace,

My big brother you'll always be loved

By the many you've impacted by your love,

Spirtiually through prayers I feel hugged,

Just know now you are free just like a dove.
