Alone in an Ocean

Location

Depression is an ocean

The horrible thoughts you have - the water

The fears you have - the fish

The friends you have - the other boats

Most of the time your boat is left alone

Surrounded by your own fears and thoughts

Seems like everyone is steering clear of you

There is no one to be found

Every once in a while

You catch sight of another boat

But instead of going towards it

You purposely steer away

Sometimes you are lucky enough

To have a boat come close enough to save you

Sometimes boats sink and are never seen again

Sometimes boats sink and no one notices

If you fall out of your own boat

Your fears and thoughts will eat you alive

No one can survive on an ocean alone
