Never Was a Child

Location

My life was short

My life was cruel.

Winston was my brother

But he hardly felt as one.

I never was a child

I never lived my life.

I was robbed of a past

I was robbed of a future.

Simplicity and hardship

Represent the truth

But casualties and fatalities

Carry out the ending.

My life had no beginning

Nor an end.

My life meant nothing

To the common eye.

My family didn’t know me

I didn’t know them.

My story will never be told

For it was stolen.
