Everything Taste Different
After I tasted you for the first time
everything tasted
The way the first bird of spring sounds
SCREAMING
demanding to be heard
demanding to be felt
After I tasted you for the first time
I saw color for the fist time
The shades of blues in your eyes entertained with the stormy greys of mine.
Your yellow light that brought my smile with no word having to be uttered
The rosiness of your cheeks the mingled with the hues of my lips as the strained to hold yours
After I felt your embrace for the last time
All of the color feeling and sound was gone
My gray palms when your slipped away
mocked me
My once green and vibrant step became muddy and cold
I couldn't.
I floated through life
Not knowing what was keeping me afloat
Not knowing why what ever it was
was doing it
You'd think now years after id be okay
I would love to know how my veins could pump blood even after they once pumped love
When you see color everything has meaning
And now
