Without a mask who can I possibly be?

Well I am me and that is very plain to see

Seeing as I don't really have a mask

There is not that much left that I need to reveal

From my perspective I am simply me

But from him, her, or you 

That may not be true

To those who don't truly know who I am 

Here is the real me, If you truly give a damn

I am sarcastic and I am smart

My humor is most times tart

Most times I come off as malicious 

but that is just not the case

I do nothing in spite of others

but just to bring joy among each other 

I care deeply for everyone's well-being 

Even if we aren't agreeing 

Friends and Family mean everything to me 

And I mean everything to them in the highest degree

I love too much if that is such a thing

But I would rather love too much than to be suffering

Most times I work as hard as I can

Very rarely do I not give a damn

I live and breath my music

I try every day to play and use it

I am strong willed and very very stubborn 

That is one of the first things about me that is discovered

I am the middle ground for most of my friends

That is perfectly fine because I don't pretend 

that things are fine or that things are perfect

I give them tough love if they deserve it

I expect the same if I ever lean on them one day

because I believe it is to be that way

So take me as you will and take me as you may 

However I refuse to change my ways

You see, here is one more thing you may want to know 

I refuse to change myself  to benefit you, that's just how it goes

I will change for me,myself,and I 

And it will be that way until the die.

Don't criticize too harshly, because that is not how I would treat you.

Treat others the way you want to be treated,that's what I do
