They say it doesn't matter.

Fri, 01/30/2015 - 12:16 -- Kaisai

They say it doesn't matter.

That they can fix things

With some pills, or a rope

And everything will be okay.

“Why keep going?” they say.

“Nothing that I do matters.”

“Nothing can help me.”

But they’re wrong.

Do they not realize

That they won’t just fade away?

That there were people

Who loved them?

Who wished they’d stayed?

The people they leave behind

Are forever changed

And some decide to go with them.

They’ll see your ghost everywhere

And it’ll be more than they can bear.

They’ll carry on

Because they have to.

But on the inside,

They’ll be as dead as you are

Because you’re gone

And they couldn't save you.
