Yes, I was excited to go to a new school I was ready to move on to move past high school and meet new people   A roommate, how fun I thought (but) by the end I would be distraught

My roommate moved out today. They decided to leave most of their things behind. Nothing was of much importance though, Well, except for their pillow. I put that away in that closet I never use.  
Did you peep the date? Too bad your birthday couldn’t come a day late! Today is the nineteenth of April, you see, But 4/20 doesn’t seem like your cup of tea. However, I’m excited to share,
  Like a dancer, She skips, twirls, leaps A ribbon of happiness Trailing from her toes As they brush the pavement
