As the tides rise and birds fly
Across the light blue sky
Up so high,
I shall look under the sea
A beautiful place for me,
Swim to my home.
I want to kiss you like the shore kisses the sun,
I want to touch your calm and hear your hums.
I want to engulf in you completely,
and drown myself in your serenity.
I want to breathe your tranquility,
The Siren Bachelorette
From the producers of The Bachelor and The Island of Dr. Moreau
Comes a new series; a dating show
That fights for survival, while fighting for love.
We find it lying on the beach:
A lump of scales and fingernails,
An inky trail up from the water
Slithering through the sand
Its eyes open and filmy
As if surprised by the sudden darkness,
The surface, as I reach it,
quivers and shakes
as the shining sun pours
down onto my face.
My sisters before
warned me of the heat,
of the glare;
yet I swim to the top,
The surface, as I reach it,
quivers and shakes
as the shining sun pours
down onto my face.
My sisters before
warned me of the heat,
of the glare;
yet I swim to the top,
The mystical creatures of the deep blue,
I sing a chores out to you.
For the sirens that sing within in the waters,
To the beauty of you're majestic ways, living amongst the sea otters.
They say if you drown in the oceanYou become a mermaid
You always ate the end peice of the loafNow they sit molding in a basket.
All the lies I told myself

Only infuriate me now.
I’ve been the mermaid I always wanted to be,
swimming in De-nile.
A stranger came up to me today
With the most peculiar thing
He held a vial in one hand
And in the other, a ring.
