So what
Might I ask
Makes us boys
And girls
Why can't we just be us?
Why must we be male, female, straight, gay...
What is a girl?
What is a boy?
You may simply answer
The gender you were born as
Or your clothes
your looks
on a time when i was dumb
on a time when i was different
2016 summe5
i found out who i was
when they endorsed pride month
i stole something
Why am I scared of being me
You'll never know what it's like to be
Someone that only
Sees hatred and bigotry
Towards a person like me
A person of my sexuality
Murdered on the street
My name is Aurora, and you probably know my classic tale,
But what if I was to tell you that in the end it failed?
It started when a fifteen-year-old I
Touched a spindle and nearly died
America, the brave?
More like America the Slave.
Founded on the oppression
Of millions, and millions.
Our ideals of freedom are only for those
Messy, Daylight, Fences
She learned to love her, yes she did
In those few minutes and few weeks
It wasn't love strain'd (maybe Shakespeare'd understand)
And it wsasn't love beow the belt
Since I'm destined to be a coffee ground,
I want to be fertilizer.
I don't exist in your bookshops or museums.
I don't have a place on your TVs or radios.
You'll never hear about me.
The crown held high upon my head
The pain I feel in my heart as I look out
The Kingdom before me filled with dread
I hear a man in the crowd shout
"Where is our Queen?"
A human body is made up of trillions of cells
Those cells form together to make people
People vary in size from babies the size of a hand
To still growing adults above eight feet tall
