blue eyes

Their eyes hold the beauty of the seven seas,
though the holders may not see them for the rarity they are,
those without may feel as though they are drowning in pools of water,
Though my blue eyes shine brightly in the day
Inside my pain comes in waves
No one can really understand how I feel
The joy that my depression steals
Little moments of relief
Her face as red as her name
As she screamed
YOU CHEATED ON ME WITH HER!?
His blue eyes looked into hers
Baby, Baby no she is just green with envy of us
and our perfect purple baby
My first thought when I looked into your eyes….
Ocean
Blue like the ocean
And like the sky
When you look at me my mind creates an illusion
The illusion that the blue in your eyes moves like ocean water
They caught me off guard on a normal weekday afternoon,
They matched your smile when I first saw it come through,
They danced and sparkled when you laughed at my expense;
Next time you see me, I may look the same
The same short blonde hair framing a pale face
The same bright blue eyes behind the same lenses
But don’t be fooled
Look and notice
In a Mirror
Two stare back
Their placement becomes clearer
looking to the front
and never behind
because that would be
a squalor of time.
