With each bullet I take
I wonder how many lives I save.
Laying on the cold ground
I feel no warmth, hear no sound.
It wasn't bravery, nor anger
just fear for every stranger.
Thoughts and Prayers
My thoughts and prayers are not enough.
I think about how I wanted to start this poem by quoting
She was taken
When she was needed the most
Her pure innocence
Shattered
And only by words
Mommy I’m scared, am I going to have wrinkles like that lady when I grow up,
she shushes me and apologizes to the old woman, no darling she says as
she pushes me out the door.
Last November,
We all got the call,
From our school,
To warn us all.
Last November someone wrote:
"I'm going to shoot the school up on Friday".
No one believed it to be a joke.
Tick Tock goes the time bomb in my head, what'd ya say...I'm better off dead...
Nothing to live for here comes the sun, day after day, the hauntings just begun...
Every day, every hour, every minute, every second...
i walked out
for what i hope to be
a better future
can't you see
these devices called guns
are killing us all

Tomorrow is Thursday
I’ll be remembered, in my own way.
What a year.
What a year it has been
At the start it looked promising, but then and only then
4 letters flipped the world upside down
I-S-I-S, what a horrible sound
The student body
gathered outside
that winter night
on one of the
windiest days of
the year
and we held
candles in
paper cups
between the
spaces in our
cotton gloves
Round curls and shiny locks
In gold, red, and brown
Bounce on their foreheads
As they skip and run through the halls.
