the wind blows through his empty eyes
and his heart begins to beat
to the sound of heavy rain
coming down on the street
the pounding of his heart
echos all around
in his lonely house
The fangs of ice-
The teeth in rows-
The sands of time-
They pierce the bone-
Yet here I stand-
Upon the road-
Placed infront-
The fangs of cold.
What a bitter sweet feeling, one that i had long been subdued. Loneliness creeps in it bitter bite tearing open my once hardened heart, yet such a sweet melancholy tune it creates.
Take me to the horizon for my heart is broken
Take me to the stars for I need an escape
Take me to the moon for it ought to tell me its story of seclusion
My dad’s a pilot cause he always flies so high with those lies of his.
Told us he’d be back home and that he’d only go away for a little bit
Guess times change and so do faces
I never understood when you used to say
that silence is deafening
