Knowing that I am one of her role models,
she inpires me to push myself for the best grades.

The earth shakes
The ground splits
The heavens rumble

She’s so innocent
Young and childlike
She’s almost like an infant,
Can’t even ride a bike
She is brown eyed, brown haired
Like me, almost my twin
Till puberty hit and we split
We became two people instead of one
Yet I can't say I couldn't live without her
I could breathe, I could move, I could cry
The little things I cherish -
The popsicle stick people that were my Christmas present,
The notes we slip under the other's door,
The dolls' stores and houses and barns,
And the little-sister-love she gives me.
It all started with
a car ride home
After your months in the hospital
The security blanket of monitors and wires
Warming your soul to untold levels of health and love
