Pen scratching gainst the page
words whipping in her mind
letters bleeding into the page
as a way to be safe instead
skin full of old scars
tears dried up in her eyes
instead of inflicting pain
The wind swallows the dirt
On a dark, rainy day
But who swallows the wind?
The tree holds up the sky
To make way for birds to fly
But who holds up the trees?
Strands of technicolor hues are
strewn through the void of morality.
Every color ever created lays
upon the pitiless ground in static strips
unorganized and overwhelming.
The wind blows.
When you don’t know what to say,
Poetry is there.
She takes your unsaid words,
Rearranges them, changes them,
And puts them on paper.
Poetry guides the pen,
Society revolves around in a circle, the creative minds are those that break free from the circle.
the words you say.
whisper. force. laugh. scream. conceal. weaponize.
are your metaphors and repetition meant to cause?
insult? support? action? attention?
they can be read.
Poetry
This words means many things.
Then again it can mean nothing.
But for me it has transcended me down an alleyway.
That has stripped me of my rough edges.
Grim looking face.
Plush exterior.
Words rhyming that was all I knew,
But no it became so much more
It's art that shows emotion vivid to the reader in ways like sound
