In the beginning, a hand touch my little head
Aflamed with light and life
There I see a heavenly figure, lively, not dead
I see no look on his face of any strife
He watched me grow from small to big
To the Second Floor,
I will never forget the joy you brought me. I would run
and play
and dance
in your vacant halls with my best friend.
Do you remember her?
She would make me chase her
The constant noises in your house remind me I'm alive
I love you for that
I can't say thank you too many times.
Wish I could show you how much I appreciate you
The constant breeze makes me move closer to you
Friendships.
Somtimes they are meant to be, sometimes they aren't.
At times you have to let go of a toxic friendship
To come to the realization that you aren't the negative words they used to say to you.
Love is a roller coaster controlled by life,
taking you on beautiful ups and upsetting downs.
People come and go on this crazy ride,
some teaching you a lesson and some being exactly what you've been looking for.
I'm another casualty to the weapon of love.
The trigger pulled by joined hands.
Claims of compassion suffocating my every breath,
Nearly as strong as the words of manipulation.
"You're my everything"
Because I love you,
I hit you,
Only to put you in your place.
Because I love you,
I want you to text me every day,
I don't want you to text anyone else.
Because I love you,
What is purer than the wants of the heart?
The triumph of its needs.
What is friendship?
A single soul inhabiting two bodies.
What is more tantalizing than desire?
Mutual titillation.
