Love is a roller coaster controlled by life,

taking you on beautiful ups and upsetting downs.

People come and go on this crazy ride,

some teaching you a lesson and some being exactly what you've been looking for.

Love is expressed in many ways,

from, "How was your day?" to "Did you get home safe?"

Love is when you care for that person more than yourself,

when the sound of their voice calls you home. 

Love is when they're the first person you want to tell good news to,

spending time with them and thinking, "how did I get so lucky?"

Spending time alone praying you'll never lose them, 

hoping for nothing but the best for them.

The thing about love is that you don't always need to say the words, "I love you",

your little actions do it for you.

But don't be afraid to say it every so often,

because we all love to hear those special words that make our heart flutter,

"Because I love you."
