This is not a recrudescence of racism
In America or in the world, but rather
A continuum of malfeasance, antagonism
And hardcore cruelty of the systemic horror
I stole pack a cigs from the store
I took off for the chase
No weapons on me by any chance
My homeboy running with me we got away
Then we see a cop so stop
Nerves running down my body
I’ve long lost respect for the name
The officers play a dangerous war game
Their innocence the media seems to feign
Yet their evil pumps through the black lives veins
A bullet passes through their thin shirts
