Looking back all my feelings are so small
I’m just a speck in a universe, I’m so small
My feelings have no meaning as I’m just tiny molecule
I hug myself close,
Hoping that I can pull my
Scattered pieces closer.
I hold myself tighter,
Afraid that if I let go,
Today I am wearing anything but black solely to hide the fact that I am just sticks…
Just sticks set up in such a way that if you even tap my shoulder… you will be impaled without intention
The trees they sway.
The wind convey,
Their branches all a ’swinging.
The breeze can whisper,
Make you shiver,
On feathery wisps a ’winging.
The wind grows louder,
This beautiful world
spins on its axis
at a thousand miles an hour
hurtling through a dark empty void
but I am standing still.
In the city
I can see twinkles of light
I don’t think we ever come to understand our greater importance in this ___ world.
we believe our lives are so trivial compared to everything else, when really our lives are just being compared to the things
I see all of these poems,
Lengthy,
Tall.
But they win.
They get all of the Scholarships.
And I write short poems.
Simple,
They take up one page, max.
Is my style too short?
for in every smile that we offer the world
unknowingly, we might have just made someone else's day
for in every sigh that we make
unknowingly, we might have just ruined someone else's good life
Don't be fooled by my appearance
I am anything but small
With a will as strong as steel and diamonds
Nothing can break me
I hold my head up and do as I want
Morals are my foundation in this world
Dreams can be BIG!
Dreams can be small.
Some can be short,
Or very, very, tall.
For young and old,
For the brave and bold.
For every boy,
And every girl.
Let's all dream very BIG!
I Am A Shooting Star
Once You See Me I Amaze You
But By Time You See Me, Im Already Gone
My Existence Has Already Been No Longer
Dead To The Outside, But Alive In Your Mind
Small Doll chips away,
Small Doll likes the fray,
Small Doll knows nothing,
But the sad decay,
They don’t teach you not to be small.I’ve been in a million classrooms that teach us not to get too big and make sure we exercise enough.Never have I heard, “Don’t get too small.”
It is the dead of winter, and from the kitchen window,
The oldest child watches her siblings play and tackle each other in the snow.
The chance
that a black hole will materialize on earth
is so infintesimally small
as to be considered 'practically' impossible
But still
the quantum physics suggesting the possibility
Dark hair
Frames her angular face
Protruding cheekbones
Paperwhite skin hiding lacy blue veins
Dark eyes
Follow me around the room
Judging me
Looking at me
Wanting to be me
I drift
I never touch the surface
I never touch the sky
I am in between heaven and hell
Glory and guts
Existence and death.
Where I am
Shifts suddenly
I am on top
The crowded room is much too small for you;
From locks of hair to smiles of gold you dance,
And yet not once did you give me a glance;
But with one glance I would give all to you.
The corner suits me well, invisible
Afraid, Lost, Judgmental, Crestfallen:
These are the reason why many are afraid to speak up.
Poetry allows are voices to be heard,
Without worrying about others beating us down.
Poetry allows an escape,
