Youth

We run further into the night

The city lights gleaming, city lights singing

We live for now because the time is right

The promise of youth and its inevitable time being

Nothing else matters at this moment

For all I’m seeing are dreams freeing

Chasing freedom

Fireworks, music beating, people living

Chasing an open road, desert skies beaming

Not sure if the next day will be promised

Sun creeping up on the horizon

Days like this are usually the calmest
