We teach our words so simple, this is how they sound
We tell the world to listen, expect a smile or frown
We think we know what's right, but often overlooked
The choice of which to choose, while writing our own books

It's not the "shit" we need to look at with distain
The C-word in the title of this slam must be changed.

The word that only shows how lazy one can be
Professing to ourselves that we won't try and see
If teachers started teaching, positive in mind
Then "anything is possible" will be an ease to find

I challenge you and others, to do this with affirm
Take the C-word out, and notice how we learn.
