Woes of a Student

I try not to complain,

I try not to make a fuss,

But it is time

to make a ruckus.

Late nights

Early mornings,

Why won't it end?

Why am I a slave to this system called "education"?

Standardized test scores,

You have ruined me!

Merely ten points away from making a dream

A reality.

And yet you mock me,

Telling me that now I must pay

For college's to even look at me.

Aren't application prices enough?!

This must be changed.

But once agian,

I try not to complain

I try not to make a fuss

But it is time, my friends,

For us to fight back!
